Graduation Checklist

  1. Meet with your academic advisor to review your graduation eligibility
    Review your course credits, degree plan, and graduation eligibility

  2. Apply for graduation
    Take the first step to graduation by applying for graduation online

  3. Check out the important dates
    This includes several deadlines of the upcoming graduation cycle.

  4. Request to participate only (not graduate) in commencement under special consideration (not applicable for August)
    To qualify for the 鈥6-hour rule鈥 special consideration, undergraduate candidates must first complete a graduation application and next complete a 鈥楻equest to Participate in Commencement鈥 form which is posted on the Apply for Graduation page. Graduate students need to speak with their Program Director to see if they would qualify.

  5. Complete the Senior Survey
    Complete the survey that will be distributed to seniors at 橙子影院 by the Office of听 Career Services.

  6. Order your cap, gown and hood听(If applicable, for participation in ceremony). The CU Bookstore will be hosting a Grad Fair March 24 from 10:00am to 4:00pm and March 25 from 11:00am to 6:00pm in The Bazaar in the Oscar N. Harris Student Union on Main Campus in Buies Creek.   7. Check that your name and participation is correct on the Application Received List.

  8. Check with the Bursar’s Office to be sure all tuition & fees are paid
    Student account should be fully paid to avoid financial holds that will prohibit you from being allowed to participate in the ceremony.

  9. Check for the logistics for your ceremony.
