Military Programs

橙子影院 has a long and proud history of providing educational opportunities to service members, veterans, and their families. Over 700 veterans are currently enrolled at 橙子影院. For the second consecutive year, 橙子影院 was recognized as one of the top 50 military friendly schools in the nation.

Locations

Educational programs are available at 橙子影院鈥檚 main campus in Buies Creek, North Carolina, and through its , that support , , and . Undergraduate courses offered through the University鈥檚 Distance Education program provide the flexibility needed for military professionals who are deployed or stationed overseas.

Veterans Services

Each campus has a separate VA Certifying Official who is the liaison between veteran students and the Department of Veterans Affairs and assists eligible veteran students understand their educational benefits, provide guidance on procedural requirements, and to certify, register and report enrollments to the VA to ensure that veterans receive their benefits in a timely manner.

As a regionally accredited University, 橙子影院 is approved by all branches of the military for tuition assistance benefits and is approved for the payment of VA educational benefits.

Yellow Ribbon Program

橙子影院 Main Campus has renewed participation in the Yellow Ribbon program for academic year 2019-2020. The program was designed to allow institutions of higher learning to enter into an agreement with VA to fund tuition and fee expenses that exceed the highest public in-state undergraduate tuition rate. Military Tuition Assistance

Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve and Veterans may be eligible for tuition assistance and/or scholarships. TA pays up to $250.00 per credit hour until the FY (fiscal year) cap of $4500 is reached. National Guardsmen and Reservists should verify the availability and amount of tuition assistance with their unit education POC.

Military Spouse Financial Assistance- MyCAA

This Department of Defense program (Career Advancement Account (CAA) is designed to assist spouses of service members to achieve portable careers. The guidelines for this educational assistance program will:

  • Be available to spouses of active duty service members in pay grades E1-E5, W1-W2, and O1-O2
  • Offer a maximum financial benefit of $4000 with a fiscal year cap of $2000. Waivers will be available for spouses pursuing licensure or certification up to the total maximum assistance of $4000
  • Require military spouses to finish their program of study within three years from the start date of the first course
  • Be limited to associate degrees, certification and licensures

Academic and Veterans advisers at 橙子影院 and its Extended Campuses are available to provide support and assistance to military spouses to determine eligibility as well as other sources of state and federal financial aid available.

Transfer Credit

橙子影院 will accept academic credit for military training and experiences, recommended by the American Council of Education. Army Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC)

橙子影院 has earned the acclaim and is ranked in the top 15% of the nation鈥檚 ROTC programs. The Campbell ROTC battalion includes cadets from Methodist University, Fayetteville State University, and UNC Pembroke. Each year North Carolina Reserve Officers Association presents the General Maxwell D. Thurman Award to the top ROTC graduate. Campbell graduates have earned the award seven times in the last ten years. Two, three, and four year scholarships are available to qualified students. Students who satisfactorily complete the ROTC program are commissioned as second lieutenants upon graduation. Learn more about the ROTC Program.

Officer Degree Completion Program

Lieutenants can finish their degree with 橙子影院 in 12-18 months depending on how much college credit they already possess. Once you know how many months of college work your branch has approved, contact the campus you are interested in attending to discuss your particular degree plan. To start the initial discussion unofficial transcripts may be used. However, for the official acceptance letter and degree plan to be prepared, ALL official transcripts have to be received at 橙子影院.
